Location
The University of Hawai‘i (UH) is uniquely equipped as the home of CGSI due to its broad foundation of marine science, aerospace, agricultural and medical research. The UH marine and space research programs are nationally recognized. Extensive sensor networks are at the core of more than a dozen major projects. CGSI is building on efforts such as these to create an international infrastructure within which academic, industry and government groups work together. In addition, CGSI’s Professional Workshop Series will keep researchers, engineers and scientists on the cutting edge of intelligent sensor, sensor networking, and pattern recognition technologies.
CGSI is an independent center within the University of Hawaii system.
