Industrial Affiliates
CGSI’s industrial affiliate program is designed to provide opportunities for researchers to learn the needs of industry and for industrial representatives to learn of significant research results.
Collaboration between industry and academia is vital for advancing research about intelligent sensors and pattern recognition and translating new advances into commercial products and processes. Partnerships with companies in Hawai’i, the U.S. mainland, Asia and Europe are being formed in a range of industry segments, including, but not limited to: manufacturing, semiconductors, advanced materials, biotechnology, energy, software, environment, health care, security and entertainment.
Benefits of becoming an affiliate
Becoming an Industrial Affiliate includes benefits ranging from first exposure to and rights to negotiate licensing or option agreements on CGSI technology, pre-publication review of research results, private invitations to meetings and workshops and access to CGSI’s library of articles, discounts for conference and workshop, reports and newsletters. Companies also have the opportunity to sponsor research in which they have a particular interest.
Founding affiliates are automatically granted membership onto CGSI’s Industrial Advisory Board, helping to shape and refine strategy, core values and the CGSI mission.
